Extracorporeal shockwave therapy is a treatment modality that can be used to treat refractory conditions by stimulating the animal’s natural repair mechanisms. Shockwaves are high energy acoustic waves that are transmitted to the affected body part. These waves can help trigger the patient’s repair mechanisms.
