EquiPulse TM
EquiPulse TM
Magnetic Therapy

The Equipulse is our newest therapy for equine pain. It is a Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field (PEMF) device that delivers a very short duration, high intensity magnetic pulse. The EquiPulse influences the horse’s natural magnetic field which is created by the flow of electronically charged ions in and out of cells and the transmission of electric impulses through cell membranes.

EquiPulse is a therapy that can be used to treat a variety of problems, including sore backs and joints. It also aids in regenerating damaged and diseased tissues.  It improves circulation by opening and dilating arteries and capillaries, which reduces edema (swelling).  The EquiPulse therapy increases the cellular level of oxygen absorption. This can help with lactic acid build up.

The EquiPulse is routinely used for 10-15 minutes on the area of concern. It may be applied for a longer period of time if it is used over the horse’s entire body.

EquiPulse Precautions
There are several precautions that need to be taken while using the magnet.

  • Anyone with a pacemaker or implanted electronic device should not use or be near the EquiPulse.
  • Pregnant women or horses should not use the EquiPulse.
  • Credit cards, car keys with embedded chips and cell phones should be kept at a safe distance away to prevent damage.
  • Jewelry with chains should not be worn. It can cause sparks.
  • Fly spray or liniment should not be applied before treatment. The EquiPulse creates more cell permeability and these substances may penetrate more deeply than intended.
