Ultrasonography is a diagnostic tool that has multiple uses in veterinary medicine. Our practice has three ultrasound machines one of which is a digital machine. Tendon, ligament and joint injuries can be diagnosed and monitored with the use of ultrasonography. With our digital machine, we have the capability to save and make copies of images for our clients.
This technology can also aid in monitoring reproductive cycles and pregnancy in the broodmare (see reproductive section) as well as diagnosis and monitoring of pneumonia and abdominal pain (colic).
